Straight swim depending on tide from Brisbane or bridge side or from Glasshouse or Caloundra side. Waking up that morning was a huge struggle and pretty sure I drove up there whilst still in a partially unconscious state. Half of the ladies in my wave had wetsuits on and were swimming by me faster than Ian Thorpe swimming for gold.

Times will be given but no category placing or trophies. This created a bit of a deficit for me coming out of the swim once fighting the current back to the beach! Three years later Run Inn Promotions came in and took over the series, making it a four race series and started doing their best to make it an even bigger and better success.

Race Report – Bribie Tri Series Race 1 – 26 October 2014

Points scored from all four triathlon, must do three races to qualify for series prizes. Series entries are not available for teams. Series entries receive a discount to all four triathlons and series gift. Swim All swim legs will be in the Pumicestone Passage in a straight line back to the transition area. Maps will at registration. Left out of transition, on to bike path towards Caloundra. Next on the agenda is the Gatorade Kawana Race, serise looking forward to giving it a good crack!
