Similar to the over emotional black mailing which is the signature of any indian drama or film. To be sure, for most people it was emotional and brought a flood of feelings. It is one of the first where a telco brand in Pakistan used humour to communicate their message. Am switching my iPhone sim from Mobilink to Ufone because browsing speed and Internet accessibility on my iPhone sucks royally when i use my Mobilink sim… However, Im making this switch based on feedback from friends who also use the iPhone and also made this same switch and experienced a noticable improvement… not switching because of an advertisement, but I suppose it I did see such an promising the best possible speed and possibility of being able to use my Skype and FaceTime apps on my iPhone without looking for wifi I would maybe have tried it without friends’ recommendations.. Sir, I agree that when ever I watch these ads, I smile at the stupidity of the owners and T. Farrukh Aug 04,
I always turn off the sound of my TV. Truly, Ufone has set a perfect example of how simple and tasteful humour can catapult an advertisement into the realm of entertainment. Similarly, advertising is used to persuade and drive consumer behaviour with respect to a commercial offering i. I’m a Ufone subscriber but had never really looked at things this way. Teri Meherbani is a classic. I respect you thoughts but this ad has total different genre and look at the success that so many articles ha written on it: NeckbeardInTheBasement Jul 30,
Youth Jul 30, Ufone made awesome advertisements to be honest, may be the best in the market isnt it? Its just that their advertisement is on a different tone, a corporate tone.
Ufone has stuck with the humor platform for some years now, however on most occasions their message got drowned out by the punch line. What a joke they are showing. I find telenor far better than ufone’s service. No vain attempt at showing aspirations, just a simple, strong and effective concept.
Ufone advertisements have been the talk of the town for more than two years now. Teri Meherbani is a classic. I respect you thoughts but this ad has total different genre and look at the success that so many articles ha written on it: Mobilink spends billions on advertisement.

Why the producer of Shan Masala ad chose non indigenous characters is ufonw. Kabeela Khan Aug 04, What we need to know is that humour in advertising does not work alone, because advertising is only a part of the total marketing effort. This is such a cute ad and extremely well executed. At the same time comparing this genre of ads with ufone’s ads would be like comparison of apples with oranges and that is not fair and as one other gentleman commented, the fact we are all csat about it is proof enough of its quality.

With these advertisements, Ufone targets the pre-paid customers however, what they forget is that pre-paid customers are all about costs and as funny as theTVC’s sound or ax, the advertisements might not necessarily attract people towards buying at least a cellular phone connection.
No doubt some may say the campaign benefited from a relatively uncluttered environment, however the ad had and I believe still has the power to break through the quagmire we call marketing communications. But If, I were to buy a Ufone sim for fast than the actual price, I would probably think twice.
I have no qualms about saying that Ufone could run this commercial again today and not get any complaints. I admired the ad for its concept and the fact that it was made by a company that has been tagged as conservative and traditional. Farrukh Aug 04, The Ad of Shaan is an overrated ad, made by some Indian Ad agency with indian artists full of over acting and cheap emotionalism looking totally artificial.

Has it stimulated the majority of us to change our networks or brand loyalties?

This ad might seem very ordinary when you watch it in A product that is poorly positioned mfherbani inadequately distributed in comparison to its competitors, may not make it to the top even though, the advertising itself is well-conceived and professionally executed e.
Here however are five ads that have stayed lodged in my memory and can still bring a smile to my face. Adnan Jul 30, I have my doubts. The concept was brilliant, background score is heart touching, production was amazing, all in all a 9.
